Michael Cole and Jerry 'The King' Lawler present another week of hard-hitting wrestling action featuring muscle-bound stars such as John Cena, Randy Orton, The Nexus and The Miz.

WWE Monday Night Raw Preview:

The Rock wrestled his last match seven years ago at WrestleMania 20.

Also, it has been since 2004 since we have seen him inside a WWE ring live. Mostly, we have just seen him on the big screen on pre-recorded messages.

If it is indeed The Rock that is announced tonight, let’s hope that he is at the Honda Center in Anaheim as I am typing this. One can only hope.

As I look at what McMahon said again, it just makes me think more and more that it is The Rock:

“Each year, there is something special about each WrestleMania, some special moment, some special attraction, something you’ve never seen before, I assure you that this year will be no different. We will introduce a man that has set a banner, and set a record like no one else, because no one has ever hosted an event in front of 75,000 people and only one man is capable of doing that.” - Vince McMahon

As we draw closer to Raw, word around the Internet is that The Rock is indeed the person McMahon will announce as the guest host of WrestleMania 27.

We still have to wait and see, of course.

You never know, ol’ Vinnie Mac could just announce himself as the guest host also—wouldn’t that be a bummer?

This would be an anonymous manager whose words would be interpreted via a computer and read annoyingly by Michael Cole and his now infamous phrase: "...and I quote."

The general manager of RAW always made his announcements following a text message-like chime that, at first, was very entertaining and had us all waiting to see what would be said.

He even used famous catchphrases to deceive us all. For example, the likes of "If you ain't down with that, we got two words for ya;" or "Cuz that's the bottom line cause the GM said so."

What was once used to build up Michael Cole as a "heel" and establish the appearance of someone spectacular is now reduced, I find, to a bothersome presence who meddles in the superstars' business and sets up ridiculous matches such as WWE Champion The Miz versus, get this, The Great Khali!

I was "digging" this whole thing last year but now I find it way passed its expiration date and wish, no command, it to come to an end.

Why have they not revealed the identity yet? Who could it really be? When will we ever get the answer? To tell you the truth, I think WWE doesn't have a clue either.
